Mike Wheeler: The Trusty Friend in Stranger Things

While you bide your remaining hours until the release of the third season, let’s take a look at our favorite two-wheeled, 1980s throwbacks - Mike Wheeler and his iconic bicycle. To celebrate these character sidekicks, Netflix partnered with bicycle companies to create limited-edition replicas of the bicycles seen in the series, with two made by Schwinn and one from Mongoose.

Mike's bike is one of three limited-edition replica bicycles released so far, along with Lucas's and Max's bikes. The show picks up at the start of summer vacation, leaving even more time for the main characters to fight Demogorgons.

Mike Wheeler is a main character in Netflix's hit show, Stranger Things. As a loyal friend and brave adventurer, he can be kind, courageous, considerate, and tenacious. However, he also has his flaws - he can be self-absorbed, judgemental, quick-tempered, and reckless at times.

The bikes featured in Stranger Things have almost become their own characters, said Milissa Rick, senior director of marketing at Schwinn, in a company press release. And it's hard not to love the series with its strong nostalgic vibes, nightmarish Demogorgons, and the shadowy, sci-fi realm of the Upside Down.

It’s been nearly two years since Season 2 of the series dropped in the fall of 2017, and now the wait is almost over.
